Note that when using W-2 Blank Kits, for each employee you receive a window envelope and the necessary number of perforated blank sheets for the employee B and C copies (as required by the IRS). All other W-2 copies and the W-3 transmittal form are printed on your own 8 1/2 x 11 plain paper.

The QuickBooks 2003-2005 8-part kit contains:

  • 3 x W-2 blank "3-section" employee copy sheets per employee (each sheet has 3 sections/2 horizontal perforations, a side-perforation and nothing on the back) for every employee
  • 1 matching window envelope for every employee

The QuickBooks 2006 8-part kit contains:

  • 1 x W-2 blank "4-section" employee copy sheets per employee (each sheet has 4 sections/1 horizontal and 1 vertical perforation, with copy B and copy C instructions on the back)
  • 1 matching window envelope for every employee

The QuickBooks 2006 4- and 6-part kits (identical, since the additional state/city parts are printed on plain paper) contain:

  • 1 x W-2 blank "3-section" employee copy sheets per employee (each sheet has 3 sections/2 horizontal perforations, a side-perforation, and copy B and copy C instructions on the back)
  • 1 matching window envelope for every employee
